# Using The Store Unlock Animation

### 🔓 What Is the Unlock Animation?

When your countdown timer hits zero, the theme can show a branded **unlock animation**:

* A smooth full-screen screen appears
* Displays your **logo** and a customizable **“Enter” button**
* Clicking “Enter” takes visitors into the store

> 💡 This creates a polished moment to launch a drop or reveal your site.

### ✅ How To Enable It

1. In **Online Store > Customize**, go to your **Password Page**
2. Click the **Unlock Screen** section
3. Toggle **Enable Unlock Screen Animation**
4. Customize:
   * **Logo Image**
   * **Header Text** – e.g. “Welcome In” or “The Wait Is Over”
   * **Enter Button Text**
   * **Colors & Typography**

> 💡 You can also adjust spacing, alignment, and background styles.

### ⚠️ Important: You Must Still Disable the Password

**The unlock screen does not automatically remove your store password!**

Once your timer ends:

* Go to **Shopify Admin > Preferences**
* Scroll to **Password Protection**
* Uncheck **Enable password**
* Click **Save**

If you skip this step, even after users click “Enter,” they’ll still be blocked.

### 💬 Best Practice

Be ready at your launch time to manually disable the password once the timer ends.\
This gives customers instant access when the animation finishes.

> 🛑 We've seen frequent issues where customers can't enter because the password was never turned off.
