### About This Setting

The **Animations** setting in Plain Jane themes lets you control how your pages animate when they first load. This is a simple way to add polish and improve the visual flow of your site.

***

### Page Transitions

#### Page Transition Animation

Choose how your page appears when it loads:

* **None** — No animation
* **Fade In** — Smooth fade effect as the page loads

#### Transition Duration

* Adjust the time (in seconds) the animation lasts
* Use the slider or input box (e.g. `1s`, `2s`) to fine-tune the speed

> ✨ A 1-second fade is a balanced choice that feels smooth but not slow.

***

### When to Use It

Use the Fade In animation if:

* You want to reduce harsh transitions between pages
* Your site includes large background images or video
* You're aiming for a refined or cinematic aesthetic

Avoid using if:

* You want the fastest load times with no effects
* Your store relies on rapid navigation between product pages
